The challenge

A small shop in the entrance sells well, but only when somebody is standing there. A safe, a card terminal and cash handling eat the margin on a range that is mostly coffee and snacks.

What we built

A purchase in under a minute
A mobile-friendly visual shop in Swedish and English, with a basket that needs no sign-in.
Payment with Swish Handel
App switching on the same phone, payment to a number or by QR code, and a receipt page that updates itself once the payment clears.
Receipts and refunds
Numbered receipts as PDF and by email. Refunds, including partial refunds, are handled in the system.
Products added with the camera
Barcode scanning and automatic background removal on the product photo, with AI running in the browser.
VAT right from the start
A VAT rate per item and an accounting export split by VAT.
Stock per location
Reorder points, a stocktake mode and a reminder when it is time to refill.
Offers and loyalty
Discount codes and a stamp card tied to a phone number, with the discount applied automatically in the price.
Leaderboard with consent
The customer picks their own alias and can remove themselves at any time. Phone numbers are never shown.

Worth mentioning technically

All pricing, discounting and loyalty is calculated on the server, never in the browser, so prices cannot be tampered with. The Swish Commerce API is used with mutual certificate authentication. Moving from test to live is a matter of swapping certificates, not changing code.
